Bucharest Ultimate club is pleased to announce the Bucharest Ultimate Frisbee Festival hosted by the American International School of Bucharest. This is a charity event to benefit Hospice Casa Sperantei, which is a valuable NGO in Bucharest. The event is designed to raise money for charity, promote the sport of ultimate and engage in good-spirited international competition.


We, at Bucharest Ultimate, along with AISB would like to invite your team to our event. Below is some general info and our contact information. Please RSVP and let us know if you plan to attend.


Format                                         

  • 6 mixed (co-ed) teams Pool play on Saturday
  • Elimination games and awards ceremony on Sunday
  • Minimum of two/maximum three female players on the field at all times
  • Saturday games played to 13 (half-time at 7)
  • Sunday games played to 15 (half-time at 8) Two time-outs per half UPA Rules 11th Edition


Cost

The tournament fee is 200 Euro per team (all profit to charity).

Update: The extraordinarily supportive sponsors enabled us to cover the expenses so we are waiving the team fees for the tournament.

Since there is no financial obligations from the participating teams, we kindly ask you for a firm and honest commitment when you sign up to participate.


Transportation

Teams are responsible for transportation to and from Bucharest

AISB will provide transportation for teams to and from the airport


Accommodation

AISB is in the process of providing host families for all visiting players so teams will not have to spend money on hotels. More details to come.

          09:00AM – 10:30AM: Ultimate clinic for students
          11:00AM – 19:30: Tournament pool play games
          22:00PM
Tournament party at Papiota, a piping hot bar in Lipscani

     Sunday
          10:00 AM – 16:00: Elimination games
          16:00 – 16:30: Awards ceremony


Spirit of the Game/School Policies

No foul language or swearing

No smoking, AISB is a smoke-free campus

No alcohol, drugs or illegal substances

Proper sportsmanship is a must, students are watching

All calls or disputes should be settled respectfully and calmly, show good spirit at all times
